Pitching Workshop for Filmmakers
Pitching lies at the core of the creative industries. It is not enough to simply have a good idea. We want to share our idea and our artistic vision with the world and inspire others. It’s more than just a transactional move. In order to sell your project, it has to become apparent why your project is relevant here and now. Not only is pitching a crucial part of the work, it helps us as artists to heighten our own ideas and see them from another angle. This workshop will address all aspects of a short pitching presentation: How do I build my presentation? Who are the others in the room and how should they impact my pitch? How do I prep? Which materials should I use and how should I include them in my pitch?
How do I present myself, my team, my project plan and my budget? How do I deal with tricky questions? This workshop will give participants the opportunity to introduce us to their project in a five-minute pitch. Additionally, we will help you specify your idea and provide you with important tools for presenting.
About the instructor: Daniel Acht is screenwriter, director, producer and co-founder of the Berlin based company Wolkenlenker.
