The Call for Entries for the 5th Festival of Animation Berlin is open and runs until May 15, 2021.
The FESTIVAL OF ANIMATION BERLIN (FAB) is an international festival for animation and will take place from October 01 – 03, 2021 in Berlin and partly on our website as a streaming offer. Our main venues this year are the legendary City Kino Wedding and the neighboring Centre Français de Berlin. The exhibition “FAB Dimensional” with space-consuming animations as well as exciting events around animated film complete our festival programme.
You are invited to submit your latest films (completed after May 01, 2019) in one of the following competition categories:
- INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION
- GERMAN ANIMATION
- NEW TALENTS
- ANIMATED SERIES (pilot films)
- ANIMATED FEATURE FILM
- COMMISSIONED FILMS

What about the “Pink Panda” competition?
In cooperation with Big Cartoon Festival Moscow we will show a selection of current Russian animated shorts for kids and teens at the Russian House of Science and Culture Berlin this year. And in cooperation with the Slovenian Animateka Festival we have great tricks for kids from Slovenia for you.
