I simply can‘t remember how we ended up here.
This is the spot where we sat down, fishing in the darkness. Big gestures, annoying manoeuvres.
We found something important but I can‘t remember what it was and
I seem to have trouble remembering you too because my mobile dropped into the water and shorted out. Honestly, I might not be able to cope.
I speak from personal experience here, Gentlemen.
Bathroom or church, time to decide…
If you want, we can make something disappear at this place, forever.
Forever (forever is a pretty long time).
We‘re not completely alone in the dark for a change.

During the creation of her video installation „Visitors“, the artist Gudrun Krebitz has approached the exhibition space and the surrounding cemetery as a visitor. Observations and encounters have influenced her work in an associative manner and are simultaneously narrated by a voice that interprets and voices perceptions, objects, and things unsaid.
Drawings and animations converge with camera footage that was filmed on location, allowing transitions onto alternative planes of realities and different spaces of awareness. They also talk about visiting a place that – although surrounded by the constant traffic of two big streets – remains on the same timeline, in a seemingly different world, yet in the very heart of Berlin.
