The Festival of Animation Berlin is calling for submissions for the seventh festival edition #FAB2023 held from September 29 to October 1st, 2023 in Berlin-Germany. Deadline is May 15, 2023* for all submissions.
The following competition categories are open for submission:
• International Animation
• German Animation
• Student Animation “New Talents”
• Animation for Kids “Pink Panda”
• Commissioned Animation -> EXTENDED DEADLINE: June 4th
• Animated Features

Key information
WHAT FILMS ARE ELIGIBLE?
Any animated film, including combinations of life action and animation, completed after May 1st 2021 are accepted for submission to the competitions.

WHAT COMPETITION CATEGORIES CAN YOU SUBMIT TO?
This year films can be submitted to the following categories: International Animation, German Animation, New Talents (Student Animation), Pink Panda (Animation for Kids), Commissioned Animation & Animated Features
HOW TO SUBMIT A FILM?
For submission you need an account at the submission platform FilmFreeway. A small submission fee is charged via the platform.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?
The deadline for all submissions is May 15th 2023 (CET)*.
*The deadline for the category “Commissioned Animation” was extended until June 4th 2023.
