Eine Familie sogenannter “jüdischer Kontingentflüchtlinge” aus der ehemaligen Sowjetunion kommt Mitte der 90er Jahre nach Deutschland. Dabei tritt die Regisseurin, die gleichzeitig die Filmemacherin ist, in einen persönlichen Dialog mit ihren Eltern und bietet einen Einblick in weit mehr als ihre individuelle Einwanderungs- und Familiengeschichte.

The film follows a family which comes to Germany as so-called “Jewish contingent refugees” from the former Soviet Union in the mid-1990s. A personal story from the filmmaker’s perspective, the director enters into a dialogue with her parents and offers an insight into far more than a specific immigration and family history.
