Projects in developmen for the third FAB Pitch
For the third time, we are hosting a pitching session with a special focus: we welcome animated formats that are currently in development and are aimed at teenager and/or adult audiences.

Important Notes
The participation fee is 125,00 Euro and includes an (optional) personal coaching.
For young talents, we offer four free pitching slots and a travel allowance.
Information & Regulations
About FAB Pitch
The Festival of Animation Berlin is hosting the third pitching session at FAB2023. The focus is on animated formats for teenage and/or adult audiences.
The selected filmmakers will have the chance to present their projects to industry members in a short pitch followed by a chance to engage in conversation over coffee and cake.
The pitch will take place on Friday, September 29, 2023, in the afternoon at silent green Kulturquartier.
Submission process
Animation artists are invited to submit their ideas via this form until July 20, 2023.
The target audience of the submitted project must be teenangers and/or adults. The submitted project must contain at least 50% animation. All animation techniques are accepted. Further, the project must be in development, completed projects are not eligible for submission.
Selection process & Withdrawal
Entrants will be informed by email by July 25, 2023 if their project has been selected for the pitch.
The project should be presented in English if possible, otherwise in German.
The withdrawal from the participation is possible until July 1, 2023.
Participation fee
The cost of participation in the pitch is 125 Euros. The participation fee has to be paid in advance. Travel and accommodation costs cannot be covered by the Festival of Animation Berlin.
For Young Talents we offer four free pitching slots and a travel allowance. Young Talent is open to up-and-coming animators who have not yet realized more than 3 commercial projects and are at the beginning of their career.
Pitch Coaches
Prior the event, participants will receive personal coaching to ensure a great presentation of their idea. For FAB 2023 we were able to win Manuela Lumb and Moritz Mayerhofer as professional pitching coaches this year:
Manuela Lumb is an experienced and creative producer of children’s and family programs. She was co-founder and longtime producer of Studio FILM BILDER in Stuttgart. As head of the children’s and family department at Studio TV Film GmbH in Berlin, she was responsible for the content and production development of the two successful brands “Kikaninchen” and “Löwenzähnchen”, in addition to the classic series “Löwenzahn”, “Beutolomäus” and “Siebenstein”, and as head of story development at Motionworks GmbH she launched many successful formats. In January 2020, she founded her company CherieFilms in Berlin. Since September 2022, she has been Executive Producer and Project Scout for TV series at Studio 100 Media.
Moritz Mayerhofer is a director and producer of multiple award-winning animated short films. He is co-founder of the animation studio studioNICE in Berlin, which specializes in project development and design. His work can be found in diverse projects in the field of animated film, virtual reality and live action/hybrid productions as well as illustration.
