FAB Dimensional

Is there animation that diverts from linear storytelling, the strictly framed cinema-screen, or from the conventional structures in TV and on streaming platforms? You bet! Our exhibition “FAB Dimensional” features artistic work that brings animation into direct contact with the space, expands to more dimensions, and challenges linear storytelling as the status quo. The exhibition took place for the first time at FAB2020 and focused on Berlin-based artists. On display were seven positions of a differing nature and approach. They have in common their open-mindedness to advance towards new paths in animation, to view things differently, explore spaces and fill them with live.
